We met
Jo moved in with Joe after scouting SpareRoom.com for a flatshare in London and selecting the advert with no grammatical errors. Good grammar equals normal human, or at least that was the idea.
Date night
Ten months later, Joe took Jo out on a non-date, which consisted of dinner with the Mafia, late-night comedy and the night bus home. He knows how to spoil a girl.
The proposal
After a half marathon, a mud run, chilly bike rides, pretty road trips, some experimental home cooking and some more conventional dates, Joe took Jo on a surprise trip to the Lake District to pop the question. She said yes, hugged some strangers, and the cake-and-bubbly-fuelled celebrations began.
A global engagement
Since then, we have quit our jobs, travelled the world and moved to Berlin. And we figure if we can laugh together in a chilly camper van, and sigh together over German bureaucracy, then we must be ready for married life!
